This unique series of cutlery uses VG Japanese steel, which provides exceptional sharpness and ultimate edge retention. These knives also feature a patented integrated bolster design and an ergonomically designed poly-resign handle. Because of the long slender blade and a curved cutting edge, these slicing knives are ideally shaped to help make consistent, beautiful slices.       From our medieval miniatures collection, the European Pigface Bascinet is circa 1390. This helm style became popular in the late 13th century widely replacing the Great Helm because of its close fit styling. Towards the late 14th century the long snouted appearance had earned it the English nickname Hounskull, or Pig-faced bascinet. This exceptional helm is skillfully crafted of carbon steel and adorned with brass accents. It measures approximately 5 L x 3" W x 4" H and will make an impressive addition to your collection.A black iron desktop display stand is included."

Hand Painted Japanese Samurai W/ Katana Statue Warrior

Hand Painted Japanese Samurai W/ Katana Statue Warrior Review

    Buy From Amazon.com

The samurai (or bushi) were the members of the military class, the Japanese warriors.
Samurai employed a range of weapons such as bows and arrows, spears and guns; but their most famous weapon and their symbol was the sword. Samurai were supposed to lead their lives according to the ethic code of bushido ("the way of the warrior"). Strongly Confucian in nature, Bushido stressed concepts such as loyalty to one's master, self discipline and respectful, ethical behavior. After a defeat, some samurai chose to commit ritual suicide (seppuku) by cutting their abdomen rather than being captured or dying a dishonorable death.
This incredibly detailed, hand painted full color cold cast resin samurai warrior statue stands 9 inches high, is 9 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The intricate hand-painting really brings out the deatail in the piece, from the cross-wrapping on his katana to the moss on the rocks he is kneeling on.

This is an original 1883 black and white heliogravure of Koshirae, or the decorative elements of a katana hilt. The long rectangular pieces are known as kozuka. These were the handles of small, often decorative utility knives known as the kogatana which were kept in the sheathe. The small oval pieces are known as kashira, or the butt cap of the hilt. Finally, the two stiletto type pieces are called kogai, and these were kep in the sheath or the pockets of a samurai and were used to keep their hair up and in the top-knot.
